Why work with Agroforest?

Under the EUDR, importers need a credible, independent and actionable evidence file. Agroforest Monitoring Agency provides an approach designed to secure the evidence, keep costs under control and provide ongoing support over time.

Independent verification

Agroforest works on behalf of the importer, providing verification that is independent of the audited exporter in order to strengthen the credibility and usability of the EUDR evidence file.

EU

A European point of contact

With offices in South America and Europe (France), Agroforest provides European importers with a nearby point of contact, simplified invoicing and smoother account management.

Controlled costs

A flexible cost based on the number of containers imported, generally representing:

0.5% to 1%

of the FOB value.

Proactive support

The relevant supply chain is monitored regularly for 24 months. If weak signals emerge, the importer is alerted and can prepare supporting information in advance of a possible authority review.

We go beyond software and satellite imagery...

We verify on the ground, all the way to the plot of origin

Why independent verification is essential

Under the EUDR, the importer remains responsible for its due diligence file. An overall validation of the exporter may help prepare the supply chain, but it cannot replace an independent assessment of each shipment, based on its supporting documents, batches and identified processing points.

What can weaken the evidence file

A simple supplier declaration

Even when made in good faith, it does not replace verified evidence.

An overall validation of the exporter

Useful as preparation, but insufficient to secure each shipment.

A verification funded by the audited party

May undermine the independence of the verification by creating a conflict of interest.

The Agroforest approach

1

Each shipment assessed

Supply chains, batches, documents and volumes identified.

2

Documentary and field evidence

Verification of plots, transport, processing and export.

3

An independent assessment

Based on each shipment rather than on an overall validation of the exporter.

4

Actionable evidence

Clear, traceable and defensible in the event of an inspection.

For a controlled cost, Agroforest Monitoring Agency provides importers with independent verification, an actionable evidence file, a European point of contact and valuable ongoing monitoring.

Independent verification, conducted on behalf of the importer.

Actionable evidence file, structured and defensible in the event of an authority review.

European point of contact, with a presence in South America and Europe, a nearby contact, simplified invoicing and a smoother commercial relationship.

Ongoing monitoring, with alerts if weak signals emerge.

Controlled cost, proportionate to the commercial and regulatory stakes.

WARNING

There is no official EUDR certification

The EUDR is a regulation. We do not issue EUDR certification.
